HILL - In the 1790 Rhode Island census for Bristol County, there is a Jonathan HILL listed with 2 males over the age of 16, one male under the age of 16 and two females. This Jonathan HILL was believed to have moved to Rutland in Jefferson County, New York sometime around the years 1800-1801 and had two sons, Jonathan and Allen F. HILL and a daughter Susan HILL who married Boudridge WARNER. Any information about Jonathan Sr. or his descendants would be appreciated. I have lots of information I can share.

Looking for William Bosworth BROWN, born ca 1810, Bosworth BROWN was the admistrator of William Bosworth BROWN'S, my great grandfather. Bosworth BROWN'S parents were Jesse and Anna (BOSWORTH) BROWN. Bosworth BROWN was born in 1785 in Rehoboth, Mass. I have nothing to prove that Bosworth BROWN is William Bosworth BROWN'S father. I thought the Probate records I had proved that Bosworth BROWN was William Bosworth BROWN'S father. If anyone is familiar with the BOSWORTH and BROWN families and know what I am needing please advise. Thank you. This is the last thing I need to become a Mayflower Descendant under John HOWLAND. Hannah HOWLAND married Jonathan BOSWORTH, Jr. I have traced all of the BOSWORTH"S from the House of Bosworth, compiled by Mary (BOSWORTH) CLARKE.

My uncle, Everett "Red" Mason GRANT did a yeoman's job of tracing the descendents of Joseph GRANT of Barrington, Bristol County, RI. Practically all names have sources including birth, marriage, death records, where they were born, where they were married, the minister's name, etc. However, he was never able to determine the parents of Joseph. It is believed that Joseph was born around 1711, presumably in Scotland. Rumor has it that the parents were exiles and came first to Massachusetts and then Rhode Island. Joseph was left with the GARNZEY family while the parent(s) returned to Scotland for belongings????. The parent(s) never returned. Possibly ship sank. Joseph GRANT was later married to Rosamond GARNZEY on May 10, 1740 in Barrington, RI. They had eight (8) children: Joseph, Jr. (b.8/12/1842), Benjamin (b.5/12/1752), Shubal (b.6/23/1743), Thomas (b. betw. 1745 and 1755), Ebenezer, Abel (b.1757), Abigail (b.1760) and Elizabeth. If anybody has any info relating to this GRANT line, I would appreciate hearing from you. And, of course, my info is available to you.
