Clarinda PEARCE or PEIRCE (ca. 1776 - 1872) married Anthony COREY (1774 - 1856) in 1796 in Freetown, Mass. The marriage record calls her "Clarinda SHAW alias PEARCE", which most likely means she was born a PEARCE and married first a SHAW. Both Clarinda and Anthony were born in RI -- he in either North Kingstown or East Greenwich. Clarinda may have been born in Bristol County, RI. They removed to Saratoga County, NY, and then to Oneida County, NY. Their children were Mercy, Abigail, Warner, Sally, Ruth, Mary, and Anthony. Who was Clarinda?

Mother is a BARRINGTON. They came from Ohio through Kansas in the 1840-70 era when extreme pre-war activity was tearing at our nation. They intermarried with the SPRINGER's of Delaware, Old Swedes Church, Christiana Hundred. Phoebe BROWN of Horsehead, NY is the oldest GGrandmother born 1827. They had family in RI, but I don't know where or who. Originally they were from Bedfordshire, England. Can anyone lead me to Barrington's of the 1800's or earlier in RI?
