FOWLER, NEWELL posted by Grace Hoag on Friday, August 6, 1999

I am looking for information about the wife of Henry FOWLER of Providence. He was born in England around 1632 and died in Mamaroneck N.Y. in 1687. He is said to have married Rebecca NEWELL. Some references say that she was the daughter of Abraham NEWELL of Providence. However I have not found any Abraham NEWELL in Providence. Most references say that she was the daugher of Abraham NEWELL of Roxbury MA. However I do not find anywhere that he had a daughter Rebecca. She is not mentioned in his will although Rebecca FOWLER was alive at the time and married to Henry. One reference says that she was the daughter of Abraham Jr. Although he had a daughter Rebecca the dates are not possible.
