If you have any information that could help me, I'd be greatly appreciative. Historical records, notations or current numbers are all acceptable. Thank you BL

WILLIAMS posted by Martin Stewart on Saturday, March 11, 2000

My G-G-G-G Grandfather was named Israel WILLIAMS born in Pennsylvania about 1759. He lived in Bedford County, Pa in the late 1700s/early 1800s. My G-G-G Grandfather William WILLIAMS born there. Around 1816, the family relocated to Montgomery County, Ohio. Recently, a school report written by one of Israel's descendents in Cincinnati in 1908 has come to light. It is the story of Roger WILLIAMS who founded the town of Providence. Seems like an odd choice for a school report - unless the child was writing about his own family history. Looking to find some information on Roger WILLIAMS to find out if he possibly had descendents who went to Pennsylvania. Thank you.

CLARK, CLARKE posted by Regina GRIDER Pipes on Saturday, January 5, 2002

Looking for anyone that may have Florence Edith CLARK / CLARKE in their family tree. I don't know when she was born or where but know that she had at least one brother and one sister. I don't know if she ever married but the Florence Edith CLARK that I am looking for had a daughter in March 1926 and two or three years later she had a son and a few years later she had another son. Her daughter was raised by Florence or someone else for at least a year and a half then put up for adoption in Providence Co. Not sure of town. It could be Cranston but again that may have been where the two boys were put. One of the boys went to live with a farmer and the other a professor. Florence may have moved on to Maine. This information was given to my mother in law by the lawyer that handled her adoption. She did get to talk by phone to Florence's Aunt but never got to meet her. My mother in law would love to find any of her family. She is now 76 and we are sure her mother has been gone but we are hoping that someone else is looking and can help us find her two brothers and there may be more but the two are the only ones we know of. Thanks for your help.

TAYLOR posted by Don Taylor on Saturday, January 5, 2002

Richard TAYLOR, Jr 1778-1845 at Scituate was my 3rd ggrandfather. He is where I'm stuck! At Taylor lot on Brandy Brook Rd. are several other Taylor's who I know are related but I don't know how. I know because my grandfather took me there to help him clean up the lot in the 60's when I was a teenager. How I wish I had written down all that he told me about these people. Burials are from 1754-1884. According to R.I. transcription project, there is no Richard, Sr. there. There are many other Taylors buried in and around Scituate who may be related. Anyone got any ideas on how to get over this wall?
