Hello Brenda! I found the attached picture at a local antique store in a suburb of Minneapolis and couldn't resist its purchase. It is addressed to: ROSS Sisters, Olneyville, P.O. Box 115, Providence, RI and dated October 7, 1906. On the front of the picture it says: Conmicut, R.I., P.O. Box 37, October 5, 1906, Dear Selina and Ida. I hope you have reached your destination safely. I am very sorry to be deprived of the pleasant outing we were planning, am also sorry I couldn't have a few more minutes with you last Saturday night. Hope to hear from you soon, Love to both, Eda. I don't want anything for the picture, just am hopeful that someone will know of the people that are written about or the lady in the picture, so that they may have it. Please post my e-mail address, so that they may contact me, should they be related. Please post this on your county site. And, many thanks for your assistance. I'm a real sap for old pictures just laying around that are lost to people forver, especially if they have names on them. Thanks. Best regards, Kathy

On my ggg Grdf's pension application for the Rev War there was reference to a Camp Providence. The closest I can pin point it's location is West of Providence. Could it possibly be the present location of Federal Hill... as it's name suggests "Federal"

BRADY, YOUNG posted by Mike Jones on Tuesday, February 25, 2003

BRADY, Philip Looking for any information on Phililp BRADY and Mary Ann BRADY (YOUNG) They arrived in this country in 1880 and apparently moved to Providence, RI shortly thereafter. They had 2 daughters: Alice V., born in 1892 and Mary J., born 1889. He might have owned a tavern or been in the liquor distribution business. I haven't been able to find anything on him prior to 1890, so any information would be appreciated.
