I am looking for the birth of one of my great grandmothers. Her name is Louisa Ann GRAY. Family search index says that she was born March 22, 1808 at Little Compton Newport RI., but the town office there does not have her birth record. Her parents were Benjamin GRAY and Nancy CHENEY. Louisa Ann GRAY married Luther BATES who was born Aug. 6, 1800 probably Brooksville, Maine. I think he and Louisa were married in Brooksville, Maine.

Hello, My name is James Greenlee and my mothers Maiden name is ANGELL. I don’t know her side of my family very well, only my grandmother. Her immediate family is from Plains, Kansas but I found someone in the family that had done some research. They sent me emails of different articles, eulogies etc. and I was able to trace my ANGELL heritage back to the Carolinas in late 1700s to early 1800s. I was able to go back 7 generations the 8th or 9th generations from what I understand settled in the Carolinas from Providence, RI. These are the generations I've been able to research: (The years are estimated I’m typing this from memory because I’ve lost all this information and am trying to put it all back together again) My Grandfather - Carl ANGELL from Kansas (1919) His father Edward Meade ANGELL (1894) His father Charles ANGELL (1869) His father Americus V. ANGELL from Carolina (1844) His father John ANGELL, who was said to be originally from R.I. He would have been around (1819) Using my formula (generation = 25 yrs) John ANGELL's father and Grandfather would have been born around 1794 and 1769 respectively. One of them was also a John ANGELL and one of them settled from R.I. I just dont know which generation migrated from R.I. to the Carolinas. If anyone has any information they think might be relative pls contact me. Thank you

Can you please tell me how I can obtain a Marriage Certificate and a Death Certificate for Henry Hubert James BATES, known as Harry BATES, who married Maude PITCHFORTH on 24th Dec 1908 and died on 15th Jan 1911. I have tried a number of times but the electronic forms will not accept my English Post code, it needs an American Zip Code. Any help will be appreciated as Harry died very young, just like his dad, my wifes grandfather.
